Hello and welcome to my website! 🙂
First of all, let me introduce myself. My name is Monika and here would like to share with you some information on various photography courses that I researched extensively when just a couple of years ago I embarked on this fantastic journey of photography.
As long as I remember photography always fascinated me but as probably many others I could not find enough time to anything about it. I always had my point and shoot camera or my mobile phone with me to capture some shots, but never truly engaged with any settings to get more out of my images, although you can still get fantastic shots with those cameras too!
One day I received a fantastic gift from my husband, my first DSLR camera and that was a mega WOW for me. I was very excited and wanted to learn ALL about photography and preferably ALL in ONE day!
As it turned out of course, it is not that easy and first of all you need to build a solid foundation of understanding how different aspects and functions of camera and surroundings work individually and then correlate together to create these unique images that we want.
Photography is a form of art and like with any other art there are many ways of conveying and expressing it. There are some guidelines that we should all remember and try to follow but at the end of the day it is all about creating your own style and what YOU truly like that really matters.
I am not saying here that you should not listen to others, especially if they are experienced and professional photographers but what I am trying to say that you can be proud of your work along YOUR journey to YOUR perfection. The most important thing you need to remember though, photography is not something that you can learn sitting at home and reading number of books about it – you need to go out and try it for yourself. Experiment with your camera, light, apertures, shutter speeds, compositions and do not be afraid to take the plunge as it will all be worth in the end.
As you will experience of the time and start compering images from ‘before’ and ‘after’ i.e. when you start becoming more proficient, your images will start evolving together with you, but it is worth keeping them all together as you will associate each and every image with a certain mile stone along your journey and you will love them even if technically imperfect, as they will recall this special feeling of pride when you could say ‘Hey, I took this one!’
I hope that my overview of different photography courses on this website will give you various different options to choose from once you decide to embark and this fantastic journey of photography. And I hope that you will enjoy it as much as I do!
Cheers and thank you for dropping by! 🙂
